The Team

Richard M. Torre has over 35 years of diversified national and international finance and business organization/management success in New York, Dallas, Los Angeles, Montreal and Hong Kong. Finance activities have been highlighted by underwriting, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and investment advisory.

Mr. Torre is an active board member for a variety of public and private firms as well as civic organizations. Presently he is the Chairman of Signature Eyewear, Inc. (OTC), The Hydrogen Fund, MMT Investors, Inc., Dartmouth Associates, Inc. and Dauntless Capital Partners, LLC. as well as a Board Member of Aircomm Wireless Corp. He has completed terms as Vice-Chairman of both Pacific Mercantile Bank(NASDAQ) and JLM Foodservices, Inc.; Chairman, of the nationally recognized Forum for Corporate Directors and Exceed Capital Holdings(CDNX), and Board service at both Braintech, Inc. (OTC) and the Graduate School of Management at The University of California, Irvine. He is presently a member of both The Southern California Investors Association and The Association for Corporate Growth.

Dick's corporate career began at Mill Factors Corp. and continued at Congress Financial/Philadelphia Bank and Bank of Virginia Company in their New York and Montreal subsidiaries. He was Senior Vice President at Heller Financial in Dallas and Los Angeles, responsible for the firm's factoring and asset based lending activities on the West Coast, the Orient and Australia prior to the formation of Dartmouth Associates in 1984 and several investment banks in the US and Canada which he Chaired.

Resident in both Coto de Caza, California and Vancouver, British Columbia, he is a Summa Cum Laude graduate, Fordham University-Physics, a guest lecturer at Pepperdine University, the U.S. Naval History Institute, City College of New York, Woodbury University, the New York Institute of Credit, Melbourne University and the Winston S. Churchill International Society on a diverse range of topics, principally business finance, economics and the strategy and tactics of the Pacific War 1937-1945.

Particularly notable has been his committment to the establishment of the USS Missouri as a National Monument at Pearl Harbor(1/29/99) and the National World War II Memorial, Washington, D.C.(5/24/04).

Richard Munro has 25 years of diverse experience in the areas of executive leadership, finance, operations and turnarounds in both mature and entrepreneurial environments. Regarded as a highly effective business leader with CEO, CFO and consulting experience in international business, his leadership strengths and communication skills have created outstanding growth in sales and market share, return on capital employed and shareholder value in many companies. Originally from New Zealand, and now a US citizen, his expertise spans sales & marketing, distribution, retail, franchising, service and manufacturing companies, working with international brands including Fujifilm, Ricoh, America’s Cup Yachting, RJR Nabisco, Gestetner, Toshiba, Jantzen, Trilux and Naturade. Richard’s skills in inspiring people towards a vision and “systems thinking” in executing effective business strategies, have resulted in substantial improvements in financial viability and operating performance in many businesses. His acute ability to identify the key business drivers and refocus operations to create shareholder value has transformed many companies. Richard holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Auckland University, a BCom from Canterbury University and is a Chartered Accountant (CA) in New Zealand. He is an international member of the AICPA and a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand. In addition, he is a Board member of the highly regarded Forum for Corporate Directors, a Board member of Orange County Head Start Inc and a member of the Association for Corporate Growth and has been a Board & Audit Committee member of Naturade Inc. (NRDCQ:OTCBB). He has been a guest lecturer to graduate and undergraduate programs on establishing a business, turnaround management and governance in small to mid-market businesses, and annually participates in the UCI MBA student mentoring program.

David Teed began his career as a lawyer in Melbourne, Australia. In 1985, he co-sponsored a publicly listed investment company and oversaw investments in a range of industries including manufacturing, distribution, software development, tourism and real estate. Since coming to North America, Mr. Teed has invested in leveraged acquisitions and has invested in and managed a number of major corporate turnarounds including the turnaround of Core-Mark International Inc., a $2.5 billion per annum consumer products distributor in Canada and the U.S. and the turnaround of Loomis Armored Inc., which is today one of the largest armored transport provider in North America. Mr. Teed served as Chief Executive Officer of both Core-Mark International and Loomis Armored Inc. during their turnaround periods. As a principal investor he co-founded Cavalier Investment Partners, a private equity sponsor and has sourced, structured and financed acquisitions in manufacturing, distribution and service companies. He is a lawyer admitted to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria and High Court of Australia and is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth and the Turnaround Management Association.  David is currently on assignment in Melbourne, Australia.
